Hello Dr. Page:

We wish the TFBC family a happy holiday season; Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

But, while you gather with family and friends, remember the One who is worthy of our celebration – CHRIST JESUS.  Remember the billions who do not know HIM as their Savior and God, and those who may not even have heard HIS name before.  Pray that before 2008 ends, those people will hear the Name that is above all names.  That they will learn of HIS salvation, HIS mercy, and HIS grace. 

We’ve heard and read the phrase, “the ends of the earth” many times.  Maybe we think, “Is there really such a place?”  Our family can testify…YES, there is such a place!  We can see it from our doorstep.  The hillsides, valleys, and mountain tops; the villages that appear to be so close, but are actually several hours ride by car, or several days walk away.  These are places where HIS name is not known, where HIS salvation is not accepted.  Places that need JESUS!  The task of telling HIS-story is too large for the few of us, but not too large for all of us!  If we all work together, those remote places, “the ends of the earth” will hear the GOSPEL…and it will change the lives of those people for all eternity.  That is why Southern Baptist’s exist as a body…cooperation – “The Cooperative Program.” 

PLEASE give your time, talents, prayers, money…and whatever else you have been blessed with. At this time of year, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions is taken by Southern Baptist Churches.  The proceeds of that offering go out, literally, to the “ends of the earth” to make HIS name known.   Know that you will eventually meet those who will be impacted by your generosity…as we all stand before the THRONE, singing HIS praises in every known language.  Look forward to that joyous reunion with folks you haven’t met – but who might not be in Heaven except for the small part you had in cooperating with lots of other people.
